Part Time Lecturer - Research Methods in Education

The Open University of Kenya (OUK) is seeking qualified individuals for the position of Part Time Lecturer specializing in Research Methods in Education.

OUK was established to address limited capacity issues in traditional universities by employing innovative online and distance education methodologies. By leveraging technology and flexible learning modes, OUK seeks to accommodate a larger number of qualified students.

The primary responsibility of this role is delivering lectures and providing effective online support to students enrolled in Research Methods in Education courses, ensuring the quality and accessibility of digital content.

Required Qualifications and Competencies

For appointment to this grade, one MUST have:

• An earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field from an accredited University; OR
• A Master’s degree in the relevant field from an accredited University (in special cases) with at least three (3) years teaching experience at university level and registered in good standing for a Ph.D. in the relevant field.
• Be computer literate with the ability to handle digital content (mandatory for all posts).
• Ability to support students online (specific requirement for part-time lecturers).
