Role Description
MNUC is seeking qualified and experienced individuals to fill the position of Part-Time Lecturer in Nursing Education. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality academic instruction, conducting research, and contributing to the overall academic excellence of the nursing department.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver lectures and practical instructions in Nursing Education to undergraduate and/or postgraduate students.
Develop course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and teaching aids.
Conduct assessments, grade assignments, and provide constructive feedback to students.
Supervise student research projects and clinical placements where necessary.
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge in the field of nursing through continuous research and professional development.
Qualifications and Experience
Academic: A Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Nursing Education or a relevant field from a recognized University; OR a Master’s degree in the relevant field with at least two (2) years of University teaching or relevant industry experience.
Teaching Experience: Evidence of teaching experience at the University level and/or relevant industry experience. (Note: Lack of evidence supporting University teaching experience will lead to disqualification).
Professional Registration: Must be registered with relevant professional bodies (e.g., Nursing Council of Kenya) where applicable.
Research: Evidence of research and publications in refereed journals will be an added advantage, especially for those interested in postgraduate teaching.
