Role Overview
Mama Ngina University College (MNUC), a student-centered institution committed to producing innovative and ethical graduates, is seeking qualified individuals for the position of Part-Time Lecturer in Medical Statistics/Biostatistics. The role involves delivering market-driven academic instruction and leveraging state-of-the-art facilities to develop students' hands-on skills necessary for job creation and competitive employment.
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality lectures in Medical Statistics and Biostatistics to undergraduate and/or postgraduate students.
Develop and update course materials, lesson plans, and teaching aids.
Assess student performance through assignments, practicals, and examinations.
Provide academic mentorship and guidance to students.
Contribute to the development of market-driven degree programmes.
Participate in research activities and contribute to the academic body of knowledge within the department.
Requirements for Appointment
Qualifications
A Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in the relevant field from a recognized University; OR
A Master’s degree in the relevant field with at least two (2) years of University teaching or industry experience.
Professional Requirements
Verifiable evidence of teaching experience at the University level and/or relevant industry experience.
Registration with relevant professional bodies where applicable.
Evidence of research and publications in refereed journals is an added advantage (and preferred for postgraduate teaching).
