Part-time Lecturer - Information Technology, Computing and Artificial Intelligence

The Open University of Kenya aims to address the pressing issue of limited capacity in traditional universities by employing innovative teaching and learning methodologies, including online and distance education. By leveraging technology and flexible learning modes, the university seeks to accommodate a larger number of qualified students.\n\nThe university is seeking qualified and experienced individuals to join as Part-time Lecturers in Information Technology, Computing, and Artificial Intelligence to deliver instruction, manage digital content, and support students effectively in a virtual learning environment.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n* Deliver virtual lectures and instruction in Information Technology, Computing, and Artificial Intelligence.\n* Manage and curate digital course content suitable for distance learning.\n* Provide continuous online support, guidance, and academic mentorship to students.\n* Evaluate and assess student coursework, examinations, and projects.\n\n### Required Qualifications and Competencies\n* An earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field from an accredited University; OR a Master’s degree in the relevant field from an accredited University (in special cases) with at least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level and registered in good standing for a Ph.D. in the relevant field.\n* Computer literacy with the demonstrated ability to handle digital content and support students in an online/distance learning environment.\n* Registration with relevant professional bodies is an added advantage.
