About the Role
Mama Ngina University College (MNUC) is a Student-Centered University College that produces innovative, scientifically grounded, ethical and holistic graduates. We are seeking to recruit Part-Time Lecturers in Health Records & Information Management to deliver market-driven programmes designed to enable students to develop hands-on skills necessary for job creation and employment. MNUC has modern state-of-the-art teaching, learning, research, and recreation facilities.
Responsibilities and Duties
Deliver lectures and conduct practical training for students in Health Records & Information Management.
Design and develop course materials, curricula, and instructional methods.
Evaluate and grade students' coursework, assignments, and examinations.
Supervise student research projects and internships within the department.
Engage in academic research and publish findings in refereed journals (required for postgraduate level teaching).
Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students.
Participate in departmental meetings and academic reviews to ensure high educational standards.
Requirements for Appointment
Qualifications
A Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in the relevant field from a recognized University; OR
A Master’s degree in the relevant field with at least two (2) years University teaching / Industry experience.
Professional Requirements
Evidence of teaching experience at University level and/or relevant industry experience.
Registration with relevant professional bodies where applicable.
Evidence of research and publications in refereed journals will be an added advantage (essential for postgraduate teaching).
Note: Lack of evidence supporting University teaching experience will lead to disqualification.
