This role is for a Part-Time Lecturer within the Finance department, responsible for delivering academic excellence and fostering student growth.
Responsibilities and Duties
Deliver high-quality lectures and facilitate learning in the field of Finance for undergraduate and/or postgraduate students.
Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and teaching aids to ensure they remain market-driven.
Support students in developing hands-on skills necessary for job creation and employment.
Assess student performance through examinations, assignments, and other evaluation methods.
For those involved in postgraduate teaching, conduct research and publish findings in refereed journals.
Provide academic mentorship and guidance to students, adhering to the university college's ethical standards.
Participate in departmental activities and collaborate with faculty on curriculum development.
Qualifications and Requirements
A Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Finance or a relevant field from a recognized University; OR
A Master’s degree in Finance or a relevant field with at least two (2) years of University teaching or industry experience.
Demonstrated evidence of teaching experience at the University level and/or relevant industry experience.
Registration with relevant professional bodies where applicable.
Evidence of research and publications in refereed journals is an added advantage, particularly for postgraduate teaching.
Must provide letters of appointment as a lecturer or evidence supporting University teaching experience.
