Part-Time Lecturer - Embedded Systems

Role Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering quality instruction in the field of Embedded Systems, facilitating hands-on skills development for students, and contributing to the academic and research environment of the college.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and facilitate student learning in Embedded Systems and related ICT modules.
• Prepare course materials, lesson plans, and practical hands-on exercises.
• Evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and examinations.
• Mentor and supervise students' projects and research work.
• For postgraduate teaching, engage in research and aim for publication in refereed journals.
• Participate in departmental activities and academic assessments.

Requirements for Appointment

• Qualifications:
  • A Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in the relevant field from a recognized University; OR
  • A Master’s degree in the relevant field with at least two (2) years University teaching / Industry experience.
• Professional Requirements:
  • Evidence of teaching experience at University level and/or relevant industry experience.
  • Registration with relevant professional bodies where applicable.
  • Evidence of research and publications in refereed journals will be an added advantage (specifically for postgraduate teaching).
