The college is currently looking for qualified individuals to serve as Part-Time Lecturers in the field of Economics, specifically focusing on Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Econometrics.
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality lectures and facilitate learning in specialized Economics units including Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Econometrics.
Conduct student assessments, grade examinations, and evaluate student performance fairly and consistently.
Develop and update teaching materials, course outlines, and instructional resources in line with university standards.
Provide academic mentorship and guidance to students.
Maintain records of student progress and performance.
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the academic development of the program.
Conduct research and contribute to the field's body of knowledge where applicable.
Requirements
A Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Economics or a relevant field from a recognized university; OR
A Master’s degree in Economics or a relevant field with at least two (2) years of university teaching or industry experience.
Verifiable evidence of teaching experience at the university level or relevant industry experience.
Registration with relevant professional bodies where applicable.
Evidence of research and publications in refereed journals is an added advantage, particularly for those assigned to postgraduate teaching.
