Part Time Lecturer - Business Law

The Open University of Kenya (OUK) aims to address the pressing issue of limited capacity in traditional universities by employing innovative teaching and learning methodologies, including online and distance education. By leveraging technology and flexible learning modes, the university seeks to accommodate a larger number of qualified students.

This role is for a Part-Time Lecturer specializing in Business Law. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality academic content, instruction, and comprehensive student support within the University’s online and distance learning framework. Key responsibilities include utilizing digital content effectively and ensuring students receive robust academic mentorship in the virtual environment.

Required Qualifications and Competencies

For appointment to this grade, one MUST meet the following criteria:

1. Academic Qualification (Option 1): An earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field (Business Law) from an accredited University.
2. Academic Qualification (Option 2 - Special Cases): A Master’s degree in the relevant field from an accredited University, with at least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level, AND must be registered in good standing for a Ph.D. in the relevant field.
3. Digital Literacy (All Posts): Be computer literate with the ability to handle digital content.
4. Online Support (Part-Time Lecturers): Ability to effectively support students online.
