Outreach and Engagement Consultant

Duties and Responsibilities

• Identify and support the recruitment of influencers for World Environment Day and related campaigns to maximize reach, engagement, and targeted outreach.
• Produce high-quality multimedia content in support of UNEP campaigns.
• Develop and manage strategic partnerships for UNEP campaigns.
• Identify opportunities to amplify UNEP’s scientific findings and content.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support the division's goals.

Qualifications and Special Skills

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communication, social sciences, or a related field is required.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a related field is required.
• Social Media: Excellent knowledge of social media platforms and how to use them for strategic communication is mandatory.
• Media Strategy: Strong knowledge of the media landscape and effective pitching strategies is required.
• Project Management: Excellent organizational and planning skills with a proven ability to multitask and deliver results on deadline in a fast-paced environment.
• Communication: Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills are required.
• Teamwork: The ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary and multicultural team is highly desirable.
• Innovation: A proven ability to generate innovative solutions is an added advantage.
