The Operations Support Manager, Africa plays a crucial role in the security business by serving as the interface between the Director Operations, Africa and the Country Heads of Security (HSOs) and their respective security departments. Their primary responsibility is to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, oversee operations compliance, manage and oversee guard rostering, and ensure effective manpower planning. Additionally, the Operations Support Manager is responsible for ensuring the systems and processes of the business are working efficiently and for establishing and maintaining excellent service delivery across all countries of operation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Operational Support: Support the Director Operations, Africa to manage the Security Solutions Business Unit commercially and operationally to deliver value through intelligent/smart security solutions.
Operational Compliance: Collaborate with Country HSOs to ensure compliance with company standards and client requirements. Administrate and implement standardized operating procedures (SOPs).
Efficiency Management: Monitor performance metrics and manage labor efficiency across the business, ensuring countries remain within labor targets.
Workforce Management: Oversee the guard rostering process and develop manpower planning strategies based on client demands and business requirements.
Assurance and Audit: Interface between operations and Compliance/Assurance; resolve Significant Incident Reports (SIRs), monitor HSE Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), and prepare for internal and external audits.
System Enhancement: Evaluate the effectiveness of existing systems and processes, identifying opportunities to streamline operations and increase productivity.
Project Coordination: Support regional and in-country operational projects, including contract mobilisations, demobilisations, and audit remediation programmes.
Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly operational reports and maintain Africa-wide trackers and metrics.
Risk Management: Identify and manage regional operational risks, escalating material issues and supporting mitigation actions.
Mentoring: Provide senior operational support and mentoring to Country HSOs and teams to strengthen regional performance.

Qualifications and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum five (5) years of security service experience, with at least 3 years in an administrative operational support position within the commercial security industry or equivalent military experience.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of compliance regulations and industry standards.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in ICT, specifically MS Excel and PowerPoint.
