Role Purpose\nThis role is responsible for facilitating the smooth running of the respective units’ operations and related monitoring within KEPSS & RTGS Operations, the SWIFT Secretariat, and Regional Payments.\n\n### Key Duties and Responsibilities\n\n#### Technical and Operational Responsibilities\n- Administer the respective payment system operated by each Section (e.g., KEPSS, RTGS).\n- Perform Start of Day (SOD) and End of Day (EOD) procedures.\n- Ensure the respective payment system is running and monitored continuously.\n- Access the payments system and view incoming messages and requests.\n- Manage payment systems user administration, including adding new participants and users.\n- Conduct training for system users for effective service delivery.\n- Manage payment systems window extensions.\n- Oversee the issuance and renewal of security tokens and certificates.\n- Receive and respond to queries from participants and maintain Treasury contact lists.\n- Liaise with other user departments and manage their requests in a timely manner.\n- Perform administrative tasks such as processing payment invoices for third-party service providers.\n- Continuously monitor performance and coordinate system health checks.\n- Prepare periodic risk status reports for the department and the risk department.\n- Participate in the implementation of strategic activities and Bank projects, including policy reviews.\n- Contribute to the preparation of the National Payment System (NPS) annual budget for Section activities.\n- Perform specific functions unique to SWIFT Services, KEPSS Operations, and Regional Payments.\n- Ensure continued availability of efficient, reliable, and secure payment systems.\n- Participate in stakeholder committees and meetings.\n- Induction of new staff members and facilitating for visiting institutions.\n- Train new users of the respective payment systems for effective service delivery to the Bank’s customers.\n\n### Qualifications and Requirements\n- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, IT, Banking, Business Administration, Law, or a related field of study.\n- Professional qualifications and memberships are considered an added advantage.\n- At least two (2) years of experience in Payments and Banking operations or other related areas.
