Job Description
The Commission for University Education is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Office Assistant (Job Grade CUE 10). The role involves providing essential support in office maintenance, logistics, and general administrative assistance.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensuring general cleanliness of offices and equipment.
Collecting and disposing of waste.
Moving or carrying office equipment and furniture and ensuring orderly arrangement.
Arranging meeting venues.
Circulating files and mails for action by officers within the department.
Requisitioning office general supplies.
Operating basic office equipment.
Keeping an inventory of kitchen equipment.
Preparing and serving beverages.
Collecting, dispatching, and delivery of mails.
Performing office and messengerial duties.
Ensuring safe custody of the office facilities.
Identifying, reporting, and following up on office repairs and maintenance needs.
Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean Grade D (Plain) from the Kenya National Examination Council or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Fulfillment of the requirements of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya.
Compliance Requirements
Successful candidates will be required to provide the following documents before the award of an offer in compliance with Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010:
Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
Clearance Certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
