Job Description
The Office Assistant will support the administrative operations of the Kenya Maritime Authority by maintaining a clean, orderly, and professional office environment. The role involves a combination of physical tasks, such as moving furniture and equipment, and administrative support duties including dispatching mail and preparing meeting venues.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning and Maintenance: Cleaning offices, machines, equipment, and apparatus; dusting offices and ensuring habitable office conditions.
Waste Management: Collecting and disposing of waste in an appropriate manner.
Office Logistics: Moving or carrying office equipment and furniture; ensuring orderly arrangement of office spaces.
Messengerial Duties: Dispatching letters and performing various office and messengerial tasks.
Meeting Coordination: Arranging meeting venues professionally and in a timely manner.
Hospitality and Inventory: Preparing and serving office tea and keeping an inventory of kitchen equipment.
Requirements
Minimum qualification of an NCE (National Certificate in Education) or equivalent certificate.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as moving furniture and equipment.
Professional approach to office duties and meeting coordination.
Basic inventory management skills.
