Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in various healthcare settings.
• Assess patient needs and implement appropriate nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and clinical documentation.
• Provide health education and counseling to patients and their families.
• Assist medical practitioners in various clinical procedures.
• Ensure compliance with clinical standards and medical ethics.

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Nursing or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; OR
• A Bachelor's Degree in Midwifery or its equivalent qualification with a Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution;
• A valid Registration Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
