North Rift Valley Water Works Development Agency (NRVWWDA) is seeking a qualified Information Communication Technology Officer. This role is essential for maintaining the technological backbone of the agency, ensuring that all network, software, and hardware systems are operational and secure. The officer will provide critical support to end-users and ensure the integrity of the agency's data and digital presence.
Key Responsibilities
Network Management: Installing, configuring, and monitoring Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) components to ensure high availability.
Software Development & Documentation: Developing documentation for computer programs according to provided instructions and specifications.
System Configuration: Installing and configuring computer systems and technology solutions.
System Maintenance: Maintaining application systems and ensuring they are up-to-date and functioning correctly.
User Administration: Administering and managing users in the Active Directory, email server, and various user applications.
Inventory Management: Maintaining an up-to-date ICT equipment register and issuance register.
End-User Support: Providing technical support and training to users on the effective and efficient use of ICT facilities.
Web Presence: Updating and maintaining the official Institution website.
Business Continuity: Ensuring business continuity by performing regular and scheduled data and application backups.
Requirements and Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of relevant working experience.
Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business IT, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institution.
Ethics and Integrity: Must fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
