Job Description
Royal Mabati Factory is seeking a dedicated Motorist to operate company motorcycles. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure safe, timely, and efficient delivery of products across Kenya while maintaining the motorcycle's roadworthiness and strictly complying with all traffic laws and company safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Motorcycle Operation: Operate company-assigned motorbikes for official deliveries and assignments.
Maintenance & Inspection: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, checking oil, coolant, brakes, tyres, lights, and the overall condition of the motorcycle.
Compliance: Adhere strictly to NTSA regulations, Kenyan road safety laws, and internal company transport policies.
Timely Delivery: Ensure all consignments assigned by designated personnel are delivered accurately and on time.
Route Optimization: Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure maximum fuel and time efficiency.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate trip sheets, delivery notes, and fuel consumption logs.
Service Monitoring: Schedule and monitor regular motorcycle servicing to ensure it remains roadworthy at all times.
Requirements
Education: Minimum of a KCSE certificate.
Licensing: Valid Kenyan driving license (Class BCE) with a clean driving record.
Certification: Must possess a valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in similar roles, particularly on busy highways.
Knowledge: Proficient knowledge of Kenyan traffic laws, NTSA driving regulations, and the highway code.
Personal Conduct: Must be a drug-free individual with a high level of integrity.
Skills & Competencies
High safety consciousness and accountability.
Physical fitness required for long-distance driving.
Strong customer service orientation during product deliveries.
