The Motion Graphic Designer creates real-time, high-quality motion graphics, animations, and digital assets that enhance storytelling, strengthen brand identity, and deepen audience engagement across broadcast, digital, and social platforms. The role blends creativity, design precision, and technical agility to deliver fast, visually compelling content that aligns with Hope Media’s brand, editorial tone, and ministry purpose. Working collaboratively with content, marketing, and production teams, the designer ensures all visuals are innovative, platform-optimized, and faith-aligned driving impactful communication in a dynamic, digital-first media environment. The position reports to the Production Lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Graphic Design & Animation: Design and produce high-impact motion graphics, animations, and visual assets including intros, lower-thirds, and branded elements.
- Visual Storytelling: Translate creative concepts into compelling visual stories that enhance programmes, campaigns, and promotional content.
- Storyboarding: Develop storyboards and visual frameworks to guide animation flow and ensure creative consistency.
- Promotional Material: Create engaging posters, flyers, and promotional materials for programmes, events, and ministry initiatives.
- Platform Optimization: Adapt visual content for multiple platforms including TV, digital, mobile, and social media for optimal performance.
- Short-form Content: Produce short-form videos, infographics, and digital content to drive audience engagement and communication.
- Virtual Production: Design and implement virtual sets, digital backdrops, and augmented reality elements for live and recorded productions.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with content, production, and marketing teams to deliver aligned and impactful creative outputs.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage stakeholders to understand design needs and incorporate feedback into high-quality deliverables.
- Brand Alignment: Ensure brand consistency, editorial integrity, and alignment with organizational values across all visuals.
- Innovation: Stay ahead of design trends by exploring new tools, technologies, and creative techniques.

Requirements
- Faith Alignment: Must be a born-again, mature Christian who conforms to the CITAM statement of faith.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Creative Arts, Animation, Graphic Design, or a Diploma in a relevant field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in motion design, animation, and visual production in a media, broadcast, or creative agency environment.
- Software Proficiency: Skilled in industry-standard software such as Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Cinema 4D, Blender, or Houdini.
- Technical Skills: Experience in augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and virtual set design; familiarity with sound design and video editing for integrated motion graphics projects.
- Strategic Knowledge: Strong understanding of branding strategy, digital marketing visuals, and audience engagement analytics.
- Visual Aptitude: Strong conceptual and visual storytelling ability with a keen eye for aesthetics, detail, and brand consistency.
- Project Management: Able to work methodically, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and consistently meet tight deadlines.
- Communication: Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Flexibility: Flexible and adaptable to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, during breaking news, and live event schedules.
