Role Overview
Plan International is seeking a Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer to support the Young Health Programme. The role involves designing and managing the M&E framework, ensuring quality data collection, and promoting data-driven decision-making within the project. The officer will coordinate evaluations and studies while ensuring alignment with stakeholder priorities.
Key Responsibilities
M&E Framework Management: Design and manage the M&E framework, ensuring quality data collection and systems, coordinating evaluations, and promoting data-driven decision-making.
Data Systems Oversight: Oversee project data systems, ensure secure handling, analyze information, produce reports, and share lessons learned to support informed decision-making.
Quality Assurance: Ensure data quality and compliance, conduct assessments, apply standards, and improve existing M&E systems.
Capacity Strengthening: Build staff and partner skills in M&E systems, fostering reflection, knowledge sharing, and evidence-based decision-making.
Collaborative Learning: Maintain strong collaborative networks to support continuous learning and project improvement.
Policy Adherence: Enforce Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding, Preventing Sexual Harassment, Exploitation, and Abuse (PSHEA), and Gender Equality and Inclusion.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Monitoring & Evaluation, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in M&E coordination.
Proven experience with MERL frameworks such as log frames and theory of change.
Proficiency in digital data collection tools and platforms (e.g., Kobo Toolbox, ODK).
Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
Specific experience working with young people in urban informal settings is highly desirable.
