The African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP) is an African-led, regional non-profit policy think tank established in 2009 to help bridge the gaps between research, policy, and practice in the areas of population change and sustainable development, and health systems strengthening in Africa. AFIDEP is seeking a highly motivated Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Intern to support the institutional monitoring, evaluation, and learning frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Support data collection efforts for M&E across all thematic programmes, projects, and functional departments.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity for effective monitoring and evaluation of the institutional strategic objectives.
Assist in the analysis of data to track the performance of programmes, projects, and functional departments.
Assist in updating the Reporting Matrix to reflect progress on various projects in the ERP system.
Assist in consolidating and drafting reports based on the collected data and tracking progress and performance in line with the institutional strategic objectives.
Ensure clarity and coherence in the presentation of outcomes and impacts emerging from quantitative and qualitative data across programmes, projects, and functions.
Perform any other tasks as assigned from time to time.
Skills and Qualifications
Master’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Development Studies, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data analysis software, and report writing.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Experience using the ERP System for M&E data management is an advantage.
