The Compliance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the organization adheres to all applicable legal, regulatory, and internal requirements. This includes occupational safety and health laws, environmental regulations, and Quality management system standards (ISO 9001:2015) and any other standards the company subscribes to. The role supports risk management, compliance assurance, and continuous improvement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Policy & Procedures Development: Develop, review, and update compliance-related policies and procedures. Ensure proper implementation across all departments.
Document Control: Maintain document control systems.
Auditing & Reporting: Plan and coordinate both internal and external audits for the Quality management system, Statutory Audits for OSH, NEMA, and those required under law. Report to top management on the performance and any need for improvement of all management systems.
Meetings Management: Organize, attend, take minutes, distribute minutes, and file corresponding documentation for management systems meetings.
Regulatory Scanning: Proactively communicate regulatory code changes to the management team, reviewing company processes and operations to avoid compliance issues.
Compliance Tracking: Track and monitor company compliance with applicable regulatory, statutory, and international standards requirements.
Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments for QMS and Food Safety. Ensure mitigation measures are implemented and monitored, as well as promote risk-based thinking across the organization.
Qualification Requirements
Good management system knowledge in ISO 9001:2015.
University Degree in Food Science, Social Sciences, Environmental Science.
Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in ISO 9001:2015 compliance coordination or quality management systems.
Certification in ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor will be an added advantage.
Strong understanding of QMS principles, auditing processes, and document control.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
