The Mobile Concrete Pump Operator is responsible for safely operating truck-mounted (mobile) concrete pumps to deliver and place concrete accurately on construction sites. This role ensures operational efficiency, safety, and compliance with high-level Quality and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) requirements during construction activities.
Key Responsibilities
Pump Operations: Safely operate mobile concrete pump trucks, including boom and/or line pumps, during concrete pouring sessions.
Equipment Setup: Position, stabilize, and set up pumping equipment on-site according to site specifications.
Maintenance and Inspection: Conduct pre-operation, mid-operation, and post-operation inspections to ensure equipment functionality. Maintain the cleanliness of the pump, boom, and pipelines.
Calibration: Monitor and calibrate pumping pressure and concrete flow rates for accuracy.
Site Coordination: Work closely with site engineers, supervisors, and pouring teams to ensure alignment with pour plans.
Troubleshooting: Identify mechanical issues and perform basic troubleshooting to maintain operational uptime.
Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to HSE standards, participate in daily toolbox talks, and report incidents or near-misses.
Documentation: Maintain accurate operational logs of equipment usage and performance.
Requirements and Qualifications
Certification: Must possess a valid Heavy Equipment / Concrete Pump Operator Certificate or its equivalent.
Experience: A minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience specifically operating mobile concrete pumps.
Licensing: A valid heavy vehicle driving license is mandatory.
Industry Knowledge: Proven experience working on active construction sites with a clear understanding of site safety rules.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of concrete pump setup, calibration, and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
