The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) is offering a three-month industrial attachment program for students pursuing studies in Civil Engineering. This program is designed to provide practical experience in a professional environment, allowing students to apply their academic knowledge to real-world scenarios within the Authority's infrastructure and technical projects. The program aims to bridge the gap between classroom learning and the professional workspace.
Responsibilities
Assist in the monitoring and supervision of civil engineering projects undertaken by the Authority.
Support the maintenance of technical records, project documentation, and engineering reports.
Participate in site visits, inspections, and surveys under the guidance of professional engineers.
Collaborate with the technical team on structural or infrastructural tasks and maintenance activities.
Observe and learn about the statutory compliance and safety standards required in government engineering projects.
Requirements and Qualifications
Be a Kenyan Citizen aged below 35 years.
Should be a continuing 1st degree student (Undergraduate) in their 3rd, 4th, or final year of study OR a Diploma student in their final year from a recognized University/College.
Should have a valid introduction letter from the University/College.
Must be available full-time for the three-month duration of the program.
Skills and Competencies
Basic knowledge of civil engineering principles and construction methods.
Familiarity with technical drawings or engineering software (e.g., CAD).
Strong analytical, observational, and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and reporting skills.
Attention to detail and a commitment to safety standards.
Important Information
Duration: The program is for three months and is not extendable.
Monthly Stipend: KShs. 7,000 (subject to applicable statutory deductions).
Documentation: If selected, candidates will be required to submit proof of valid Personal Accident Insurance Cover, copies of KRA PIN certificate, NHIF/SHIF, NSSF, ID card, and Bank Account details.
Recruitment Fee: KRA does not charge any fee for this process.
