The Medical Officer provides comprehensive medical care including diagnosis, treatment, and management of patient conditions in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The role involves assessing patient health through clinical examinations, diagnosing various conditions, and implementing effective treatment plans to ensure optimal patient care and recovery.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct medical consultations and clinical examinations to assess patient health status.
Diagnose illnesses and prescribe appropriate treatments or medical interventions.
Conduct ward rounds for admitted patients and ensure continuity of care.
Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date medical records.
Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement programs to enhance patient care standards.
Requirements
Must possess an MBChB or an equivalent medical qualification from a recognized institution.
Must be currently licensed to practice by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
A minimum of 2 years post-internship clinical experience is required.
