Job Description
The County Government of Kisumu is seeking to recruit qualified and competent individuals to fill the position of Medical Laboratory Technologist III. There are eight (8) vacant positions. Role Purpose
As a Medical Laboratory Technologist III, you will be responsible for providing essential diagnostic support within the county's healthcare facilities. This involves conducting laboratory tests and maintaining high standards of precision and safety to ensure accurate patient diagnosis and treatment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine laboratory tests and procedures as per standardized protocols.
Collect, receive, and process laboratory specimens for analysis.
Ensure accuracy in the preparation and interpretation of lab results.
Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure optimal functioning.
Adhere to strict biosafety and quality control standards.
Maintain organized records of patient data and laboratory results.
Assist in managing laboratory inventory and supplies.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
Kenyan Citizenship.
A Diploma in Laboratory Sciences from a recognized institution.
Current registration and a valid practicing license from the relevant professional body (e.g., KMLTTB).
Proficiency in computer applications.
