Job Description
The Marketing Assistant Officer at Homa-Bay County Water and Sanitation Company Limited (HOMAWASCO) is responsible for coordinating, developing, and executing marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and drive revenue growth for the Company's products and services. These services include, but are not limited to, printing work, Bibles, books, drinking water, and translation services. The officer works under the guidance of the Senior Marketing Officer and in collaboration with Scheme managers to optimize market reach.
Responsibilities and Duties
Marketing Activities: Conduct customer activation activities for both new and dormant connections to meet the Company's set targets within specific timeframes across all schemes.
Strategy Development: Develop and implement both internal and external marketing strategies in liaison with the Senior Marketing Officer.
Promotional Events: Liaise with other Scheme managers in organizing marketing promotional events to capture potential markets.
Market Research: Conduct marketing research to identify gaps and opportunities to reach customer target groups and improve revenue collection.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze the impact of marketing campaigns and prepare monthly/quarterly reports for the immediate supervisor.
Marketing Collateral: Write marketing literature such as brochures and press releases to augment the Company’s presence in the market in liaison with the Senior Marketing Officer.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Must possess a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: A proven track record of success in sales and marketing roles for at least three (3) years.
Key Skills and Competencies
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
Familiarity with marketing automation platforms and ERP systems.
Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and tactics.
Excellent networking skills.
