Accurex Leadership and Management Consultants Ltd is looking for a dedicated Marketer in the Pharmaceutical field. This role focuses on promoting and detailing pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals, including doctors and pharmacists, to drive market growth and achieve sales targets. The successful candidate will be responsible for clinical product presentations, maintaining professional relationships within the medical community, and ensuring all marketing activities adhere to regulatory standards set by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
Key Responsibilities
Product Promotion and Detailing
Regularly visit doctors, pharmacists, and various healthcare facilities to promote products.
Present and explain product features, clinical benefits, and specific indications to healthcare providers.
Provide scientific and technical information to support the effective use of products.
Manage the distribution of samples and promotional materials according to policy.
Address professional questions and objections from healthcare practitioners effectively.
Achieving Sales Targets
Meet or exceed assigned monthly and quarterly sales objectives.
Develop and implement territory action plans to increase product uptake and market share.
Monitor sales performance metrics and adjust strategies to ensure consistent growth.
Follow up on pending orders to ensure successful sales closures.
Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain long-term, strong professional relationships with healthcare providers and key stakeholders.
Market Intelligence and Competitor Analysis
Monitor and report on competitor products, pricing, and promotional activities.
Gather feedback from the field on product performance and market needs.
Identify market gaps and emerging opportunities for growth.
Recommend strategic improvements for product positioning to management.
Compliance and Ethical Marketing
Ensure all promotional and marketing activities comply with ethical and regulatory guidelines.
Adhere strictly to the policies of the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB).
Promote products based only on approved indications and scientific evidence.
Maintain transparency and integrity in all interactions and record-keeping.
Qualifications and Experience
A Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Technology, Marketing, or a related field.
At least 2 years of proven experience in pharmaceutical sales.
Professional registration with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board is considered a significant added advantage.
A valid driving license is required for field travel.
