Orchid HR Outsourcing is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead and expand our footprint across the East African region. The successful candidate will build and lead a team of Field Sales Agents while personally managing key accounts and driving strategic expansion into new markets including Rwanda, Tanzania, and Ethiopia. This role offers a clear career path toward a Sales & Marketing Director position.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Build and lead a team of 3 Field Sales Agents operating across Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
Account Management: Personally manage key accounts while providing coaching and mentorship to the sales team to ensure they exceed their targets.
Process Improvement: Implement CRM systems (such as Odoo, HubSpot, or Zoho) and establish robust, data-driven sales processes.
Revenue Growth: Drive overall revenue growth through aggressive new customer acquisition and strategic account expansion.
Technical Expertise: Develop and maintain deep expertise in flexographic printing, packaging materials, and converting processes.
Market Expansion: Contribute to and execute strategic expansion plans into Rwanda, Tanzania, and Ethiopia.
Reporting: Report directly to the Managing Director, providing regular updates on sales performance and market trends.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (BA/BSc/HND).
Experience: 5-8 years of total experience, with at least 3 years specifically in B2B sales leadership.
Proven Track Record: Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets with verifiable performance data.
Leadership Skills: Experience in managing and developing sales teams of at least 3 people.
Technical Aptitude: Ability to learn and effectively sell complex technical packaging and print solutions.
Regional Knowledge: Deep understanding of Kenyan business culture and familiarity with at least one other East African market.
CRM Proficiency: Experience with Odoo, HubSpot, or Zoho is considered a strong advantage.
Travel: Valid driver's license and a willingness to travel 40-50% of the time across the East African region.
Mindset: An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and a passion for challenges.
