The Manager Group Card Accounts at KCB Bank Kenya is responsible for managing card suspense accounts, intercompany card accounts, and settlements across the Group. The role involves managing chargebacks, merchant and cardholder payments, aging balances, card operations projects, and ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards and bank policies.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure that Card Suspense Accounts and settlements are done within stipulated timelines.
Manage charge backs, merchant payments, card holder payments, and exceptions.
Monitor aging balances to ensure timely exception management within defined TATs, resolution as per bank processes, clearance, and full compliance with policies and regulatory standards.
Manage intercompany card accounts for KCB Group, Nostros (for the group, international card schemes, and local switches).
Manage Card operations-related projects to keep up with changes in card business and regulatory requirements for KCB Kenya and the Group.
Provide detailed MIS analysis and commentary on suspense and compliance reports, including root cause identification and corrective actions.
Provide leadership, coaching, and stakeholder engagement to drive team performance and alignment with business and operational goals.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in any field (Required).
CPA Part 2 professional qualification (Required).
Master's Degree in a Business-related field (Added Advantage).
Minimum 4 years experience in Banking Operations.
Minimum 4 years experience in Reconciliation / Management of Suspense Accounts.
Minimum 2 years experience in Card Business / Card Operations.
Minimum 3 years experience in Audit & Risk Awareness.
Minimum 3 years experience in Data Analysis & Presentation of Management Reports.
Minimum 4 years experience in People Management.
Minimum 4 years experience in Stakeholder Management.
