BANK OF AFRICA - KENYA LIMITED (BOA-KENYA) is seeking a Corporate Relationship Manager to be based in Nairobi. The role is responsible for driving corporate balance sheet growth across assets, liabilities, and off-balance sheet exposures, while ensuring quality credit management, compliance, and customer relationship enhancement.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Drive corporate balance sheet growth on assets, liabilities, and off-balance sheet exposures.
Increase the level of products and services consumed by corporates and spearhead bank relationships across the corporate supply chain through other business departments.
Grow trade finance and regional business with a focus on importers/exporters and development of synergies with BOA Group entities internationally.
Manage corporate credit portfolio quality and maintain it within the Bank's risk thresholds.
Manage and achieve profitability and productivity ratios for the corporate portfolio.
Manage the development of prudently priced assets and cost-effective long-term liabilities with reputable companies and organizations to ensure maximum bank profitability.
Identify and develop a target pipeline, aggressively marketing to new profitable customers from identified target sectors.
Manage key customer relationships through regular contacts and visits by maintaining an effective call program for assigned and prospect customers.
Maintain high professional standards and provide quality services and competitive pricing to clients.
Cultivate good rapport with corporate clients to ensure the bank becomes their choice for investment and banking.
Maintain relationships with international partners ranging from Direct Foreign Investors to Correspondent banks.
Oversee staff management and development, including motivation and succession planning.
Take direct responsibility for the performance and sustainability of the assigned portfolio with managed risk levels and consistent quality.
Maintain a high standard of operational control including adherence to Risk Management and Compliance guidelines.
Ensure compliance with Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements in all dealings with existing and potential customers.
Minimum Requirements; Work Experience, Academic and Professional Qualifications
University Degree in a business-related field. An MBA will be an added advantage.
Minimum 5 years general banking experience with at least 3 years' experience in Corporate Relationship Management.
Must have experience in Credit Analysis & Administration, Sales, and Relationship Management.
Experience in structured trade finance, syndication, and project financing will be an added advantage.
