As a Loss Prevention Supervisor at Marriott International, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of the property, guests, and employees. This position involves active patrolling, monitoring security systems, responding to emergencies, and supervising a team to maintain a secure environment and provide excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
Patrol and Surveillance: Patrol all areas of the property, secure rooms, and assist guests with access. Monitor Closed Circuit Televisions (CCTV) and alarm systems.
Safety Inspections: Conduct daily physical hazard and safety inspections, investigations, interviews, and key control audits.
Emergency Response: Lead and conduct emergency response drills. Respond to accidents and medical emergencies, contacting EMS or administering first aid/CPR as necessary.
Incident Management: Defuse disturbances according to company policy, resolve safety hazards, handle complaints, and escort unwelcome persons from the property.
Team Leadership: Assist management in training, motivating, and coaching employees. Serve as a role model and first point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy.
Administrative Duties: Prepare and review detailed written reports, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and document access to secured areas.
Physical Requirements: Move through narrow or elevated spaces, stand or walk for entire shifts, and lift/carry objects up to 50 lbs without assistance (or 75 lbs with assistance).
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Diploma or Certificate in Security Studies, Security Management, Criminology, or a related field.
Work Experience: At least 2 years of related professional work experience in security or loss prevention.
Supervisory Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
Communication: Ability to speak clearly and professionally, and proficiency in preparing written documentation.
Physical Readiness: Capability to move at speed to respond to work situations (run/walk/jog) and perform physically demanding tasks.
