This is an opportunity for a Consultant(s) to be engaged under a Long Term Agreement (LTA) to provide specialized Digital Community Engagement (DCE) services globally and remotely for UNICEF. This role is crucial in supporting UNICEF's mission as the world’s largest provider of vaccines for developing countries, supporting child health, nutrition, good water and sanitation, quality basic education, and the protection of children from violence, exploitation, and AIDS.
Responsibility of Consultant(s)
Individuals engaged under this consultancy are expected to adhere to the following responsibilities and general conditions:
- The consultant(s) will utilize their own equipment, including laptops, software, and other accessories required for the task.
- The consultant(s) must not share the content/material or any part thereof with any third party without the written permission of UNICEF. All components created will be the property of UNICEF, and the consultant will not share them with anyone else.
- The consultant(s) will not place their own name or logo/emblem on the content or final product. Only UNICEF's branding will be used, if required.
- The consultant(s) must strictly follow UNICEF’s Data Protection & Privacy Framework and adhere to information security standards when managing UNICEF’s supported digital platforms.
- Employment Status Note: Individuals engaged under this consultancy will not be considered “staff members” under the Staff Regulations and Rules of the United Nations and UNICEF’s policies and procedures and will not be entitled to benefits provided therein (such as leave entitlements and medical insurance coverage). Their conditions of service will be governed by their specific contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors.
- Consultants are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
Qualifications / Specialized Knowledge / Experience/ Language Skills
REQUIRED
- Advanced Education: Advanced university degree (MBA/MSc/MA) in marketing, digital marketing, communication, social sciences, or a related field.
- Digital Community Engagement Expertise: Demonstrated experience in Digital Community Engagement, including:
- The design of digital engagement strategies.
- Development of content and messaging frameworks.
- Audience analysis.
- Management of digital platforms or communities.
- Global Campaign Experience: Experience working with global audiences and deploying campaigns internationally, particularly in low- and middle-income countries (LMIC).
- Social and Behaviour Change (SBC): Knowledge of Social and Behaviour Change principles and their application to digital communication, community engagement, and behavioural outcomes.
- Data Translation: Experience in translating behavioural research data and Social and Community Listening (SCL) insights into strategic digital campaigns.
- Campaign Execution: Proven experience in planning and executing digital campaigns, including organic and paid media, influencer engagement, content optimisation, and community led activation.
