Job Description
Masinde Muliro University of Science & Technology (MMUST) is inviting applications for part-time positions for Lecturers and Technical Staff within the School of Arts and Social Sciences. These roles are essential for the delivery of academic programs and technical support within the department, catering to students pursuing various disciplines in the arts and social sciences.
Role Overview
The university seeks qualified professionals to support academic instruction and technical operations on a part-time basis. Lecturers will be responsible for course delivery, while technical staff will provide practical support in their respective areas of specialization.
Responsibilities and Duties
Delivering lectures and tutorials to students in accordance with the curriculum.
Preparing teaching materials, lesson plans, and course outlines.
Developing, administering, and grading student assessments and examinations.
Providing technical guidance and support in specialized laboratory or studio settings (for Technical Staff).
Mentoring students and supervising academic assignments or research projects.
Maintaining high standards of academic excellence and student engagement.
Recording and reporting student attendance and performance data.
Requirements and Qualifications
An earned PhD or Master’s degree in the relevant area of specialization from a recognized University.
An undergraduate degree in the relevant area or specialization from a recognized University.
Work experience in a relevant industry will be considered an added advantage.
