Kisiwa Technical Institute is seeking a qualified Biology Trainer to join its academic staff. The role involves delivering technical training in biological sciences and biochemistry, ensuring that students acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their respective fields. The trainer will be responsible for the entire instructional cycle, from curriculum design to student assessment and industrial supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Training: Conduct comprehensive training sessions on technical biology and biochemistry subjects.
Student Assessment: Monitor and evaluate student progress through various assessment methods to ensure learning objectives are met.
Industrial Supervision: Supervise and mentor students during their Industrial Attachment (internships) to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
Research: Undertake research in the respective training area to stay updated with industry trends and improve training quality.
Curriculum Development: Design and develop curriculum and training materials tailored to specific needs and learning objectives.
Qualifications and Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry or Biological Sciences.
A Certificate in pedagogy (teaching methods).
Must be registered with the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA).
