The University of Embu (UoEm) was established as a Constituent College of the University of Nairobi in 2011 and has since grown into a fully-fledged university. The institution is looking for a qualified individual to join the faculty as a Lecturer in Sports and Recreation. This role involves academic instruction, conducting research, and participating in the university's scholarly community.
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality lectures and instruction in the area of Sports and Recreation.
Conduct continued research and contribute to the academic body of knowledge.
Participate in learned conferences, seminars, and workshops.
Mentor students and supervise academic progress.
Contribute to departmental activities and the implementation of technical courses.
Requirements
Must be a holder of an earned PhD degree from a recognized university in the relevant area of specialty.
Must have a Master’s degree in addition to a first degree from a recognized university in the relevant field.
Show evidence of attendance and contribution at learned conferences, seminars, or workshops.
Show evidence of continued research activity.
Preferred Qualifications
University teaching experience is an added advantage.
Publications in refereed journals will be highly regarded.
