Lecturer - Special Needs Education

Duties and Responsibilities

• Teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate students.
• Preparing learning and teaching materials to enable better delivery of content and achievement of the course objectives.
• Delivering course content to students through lectures, ensuring alignment with curriculum objectives.
• Evaluating delivery models and making appropriate improvements to ensure quality teaching and learning.
• Interpreting the curriculum to synthesize and effectively disseminate content to learners.
• Setting, moderating, invigilating, and marking examinations.
• Carrying out needs assessments for the curriculum and identifying content gaps to produce competent graduates.

Requirements

• A PhD or Master's degree qualification in a relevant field from a recognized academic institution.
• Vast teaching or industry experience at undergraduate/postgraduate levels.
• Previous service as a Lecturer or equivalent industry experience in a university or institution recognized by the JOOUST Senate.
• Demonstrated potential for university teaching and/or research.
• At least two (2) years of teaching experience in a university.
• Master's degree holders registered for a PhD may be considered.
• Registration with the relevant professional body as required by the field of specialization.
