About the Role
Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Part-Time Lecturer in the area of Project Planning. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and academic delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
Duties and Responsibilities
Teaching and Instruction: Teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate students in the field of Project Planning.
Material Preparation: Prepare high-quality learning and teaching materials to facilitate effective delivery of course content and achieve course objectives.
Curriculum Delivery: Deliver course content through lectures while ensuring alignment with curriculum objectives.
Evaluation and Improvement: Evaluate delivery models and make appropriate improvements to ensure top-quality teaching and learning.
Curriculum Interpretation: Interpret the curriculum to synthesize and effectively disseminate content to learners.
Assessment Management: Set, moderate, invigilate, and mark student examinations.
Needs Assessment: Carry out curriculum needs assessments to identify content gaps and ensure graduates are highly competent.
Requirements
Hold a PhD or a Master's degree qualification in a relevant field from a recognized academic institution.
Possess vast teaching or industry experience at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
Have served as a Lecturer or possess equivalent industry experience in a recognized university or institution.
Demonstrate clear potential for university teaching and/or research.
At least two (2) years of teaching experience in a university setting.
Master's degree holders registered for a PhD may be considered.
Must be registered with the relevant professional body as required by the field of specialization.
