Lecturer - Planning and Economics of Education

Duties and Responsibilities

• Teaching: Instruct undergraduate and/or postgraduate students within the Planning and Economics of Education specialization.
• Material Preparation: Develop and prepare teaching and learning materials to ensure effective delivery of course content and the achievement of educational objectives.
• Lecture Delivery: Deliver course content through structured lectures, adhering closely to the defined curriculum objectives.
• Quality Evaluation: Assess and evaluate delivery models regularly and implement appropriate improvements to enhance teaching and learning quality.
• Curriculum Interpretation: Interpret curriculum guidelines to synthesize the subject content and effectively disseminate knowledge to learners.
• Examinations: Participate in setting, moderating, invigilating, and grading student examinations.
• Needs Assessment: Perform needs assessments for the curriculum and identify content gaps to ensure graduates possess competent, job-ready skills.

Job Requirements

• Education: Hold a PhD or a Master's degree in a relevant field from a recognized academic institution. (Master's holders registered for a PhD may be considered).
• Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of teaching experience at the university level, or possess vast industry experience at undergraduate/postgraduate levels.
• Academics: Must have served as a Lecturer (or equivalent industry role) in a university recognized by the Senate of JOOUST.
• Professional Registration: Active registration with the relevant professional body as required by the field of specialization.
• Potential: Demonstrate strong potential for university-level teaching, scholarly instruction, and academic research.
