Lecturer - Philosophy of Education

Key Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate students in the area of specialization.
• Prepare learning and teaching materials to facilitate the effective delivery of course content and achieve course objectives.
• Deliver curriculum content to students through lectures, ensuring adherence to academic guidelines.
• Evaluate course delivery models and make continuous improvements to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
• Interpret the curriculum to effectively synthesize and disseminate content to learners.
• Set, moderate, invigilate, and mark university examinations.
• Conduct needs assessments for curriculum development and identify content gaps to produce industry-ready graduates.

Qualifications and Experience

• A PhD or a Master's degree qualification in a relevant field from a recognized academic institution.
• Extensive teaching or industry experience at undergraduate/postgraduate levels.
• Previous service as a Lecturer or equivalent industry experience in a university recognized by the Senate of JOOUST.
• Demonstrated potential for university-level teaching and research.
• At least two (2) years of teaching experience in a university setting.
• Master's degree holders registered for a PhD program may be considered.
• Registration with a relevant professional body, as required by the field of specialization.
