Lecturer - Marine Ecology

• Teaching & Instruction: Teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate students, delivering course content in line with curriculum objectives.
• Material Preparation: Prepare learning and teaching materials to enable better delivery of content and achievement of the objectives of the course.
• Evaluation & Assessment: Deliver course content through lectures ensuring curriculum objectives are followed. Interpret curriculum to synthesize content and disseminate to learners. Set, moderate, invigilate, and mark examinations.
• Quality Improvement: Evaluate delivery models and make appropriate improvements to ensure quality teaching and learning.
• Curriculum Development: Carry out needs assessments for the curriculum and identify content gaps in order to produce competent graduates.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

• Academic Credentials: Hold a PhD or a Master's degree qualification in a relevant field from a recognized academic institution. (Master's degree holders registered for a PhD may be considered).
• Experience: At least two (2) years of teaching experience in a university or equivalent industry experience in an institution recognized by the Senate of JOOUST.
• Professional Affiliation: Be registered with the relevant professional body as required by the field of specialization.
• Research Potential: Demonstrate potential for university teaching and/or research.
