Lecturer - International Relations

Duties and Responsibilities

• Teaching & Instruction: Teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate students in the field of International Relations.
• Material Preparation: Prepare learning and teaching materials to enable effective content delivery and achievement of curriculum objectives.
• Lecturing: Deliver course content through lectures, ensuring alignment with the curriculum.
• Evaluation: Evaluate delivery models and implement improvements to ensure quality teaching and learning. Set, moderate, invigilate, and mark university examinations.
• Curriculum Interpretation: Interpret curriculum guidelines to synthesize and disseminate knowledge to learners.
• Needs Assessment: Carry out needs assessments for curriculum development and identify content gaps to produce competent graduates.

Requirements

• Academic Qualifications: Applicants should hold a PhD or a Master's degree in a relevant field (International Relations) from a recognized academic institution.
• Teaching Experience: At least two (2) years of teaching experience in a university setting.
• Professional Registration: Be registered with the relevant professional body as required by the field of specialization.
• Teaching Potential: Demonstrate strong potential for university-level teaching and/or research.
• Additional Consideration: Master's degree holders currently registered for a PhD program may be considered.
• Equivalency: Prior service as a Lecturer or equivalent industry experience in a university or institution recognized by the JOOUST Senate is highly desirable.
