Job Description
Role Overview
The successful candidates will be reporting to the Dean of the School of Science and Technology (SST) and will be expected to teach, conduct research, and engage in service performance. The role involves academic instruction at both undergraduate and graduate levels, primarily focused on Robotics and System Automation.
Key Responsibilities
Instruction: Teach at undergraduate and graduate levels in specific areas of Robotics and System Automation.
Mentorship: Support and mentor students in their academic and career endeavors.
Curriculum Development: Participate in curriculum development activities to ensure programs are up-to-date and marketable.
Assessment: Participate in program assessment and reviews.
Research Supervision: Supervise student research (projects/theses/dissertations) at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
Research Engagement: Conduct research within the area of expertise.
University Service: Engage in service to the University, the profession, and the community.
Administrative Duties: Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria sets:
Option 1: PhD Holder
An earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field from an accredited and recognized university.
Registered or registrable with the relevant professional body.
Option 2: Master's Holder
A Master’s degree in related areas from an accredited university.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in teaching and/or industrial experience in the relevant industry.
A minimum of twenty-four (24) publication points as per the CUE Standards & Guidelines, 2014, of which at least sixteen (16) should be from refereed scholarly journal papers.
Must be registered for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent Doctoral degree qualification.
Registered with the relevant professional body.
