Egerton University is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced individual for the position of Lecturer Grade 12 (Sociology) under vacancy reference . The successful candidate will teach, conduct research, and provide academic leadership within the department.

Job Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality lectures and tutorials in Sociology to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Supervise student research projects, theses, and dissertations.
Conduct independent research and publish findings in refereed journals.
Develop and review academic curricula and course materials.
Participate in departmental meetings, committee work, and other university administrative tasks.
Provide mentorship and academic advising to students.
Requirements and Qualifications
Applicants must have the following academic/professional qualifications:
An earned PhD in Sociology from an accredited or recognized university.
At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level or relevant research/industry experience.
A minimum of twenty-four (24) publication points as a Lecturer or equivalent, of which at least sixteen (16) points must be from refereed journals.
Must be registered with the relevant professional body (where applicable).
