The Lecturer in GIS/RS (Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing) will be responsible for providing academic instruction and support to undergraduate and postgraduate students in their area of specialization. This part-time position involves delivering course content, developing instructional materials, and assessing student progress to maintain high educational standards.\n\n### Duties and Responsibilities\n* Instruct undergraduate and/or postgraduate students.\n* Prepare learning and teaching materials to enable better delivery of content and achievement of course objectives.\n* Deliver course content to students through lectures, ensuring alignment with curriculum objectives.\n* Evaluate delivery models and make appropriate improvements to ensure quality teaching and learning.\n* Interpret curriculum to synthesize content and effectively disseminate it to learners. Setting, moderating, invigilating, and marking examinations.\n* Carry out needs assessments for the curriculum and identify content gaps to produce highly competent graduates.\n\n### Requirements for the Position\n* A PhD or Master's degree qualification in a relevant field from a recognized academic institution. Master's holders registered for a PhD may also be considered.\n* At least two (2) years of teaching experience in a university setting. Must have served as a Lecturer or possess equivalent industry experience in a university or institution recognized by the JOOUST Senate.\n* Demonstrate clear potential for university-level teaching and/or research.\n* Must be registered with the relevant professional body as required by the field of specialization.
