Lecturer (French)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in French language and relevant specialties.
• Facilitate student learning and provide mentorship in academic development.
• Conduct original research in the field of French linguistics, literature, or pedagogy.
• Participate in learned conferences, seminars, and workshops, contributing scholarly presentations.
• Publish research findings in reputable, refereed journals.
• Participate in curriculum development, review, and departmental administrative duties.

Requirements

• Must be a holder of an earned PhD degree from a recognized university in French or a relevant area of specialty.
• Must possess a Master’s degree in addition to a first degree (Bachelor's) from a recognized university in the relevant field.
• Show clear evidence of attendance and active contribution at learned conferences, seminars, or workshops.
• Show evidence of continued research activities in the relevant field.
• University teaching experience and a record of publications in refereed journals will be considered a significant added advantage.
