Lecturer - Educational Psychology

Duties and Responsibilities

• Teaching: Instruct undergraduate and/or postgraduate students in the field of Educational Psychology.
• Material Preparation: Develop and prepare learning and teaching materials to enable better content delivery and achieve course objectives.
• Course Delivery: Deliver course content through lectures, ensuring alignment with curriculum objectives.
• Quality Assurance: Evaluate delivery models and make appropriate improvements to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
• Curriculum Interpretation: Interpret curriculum to synthesize content and disseminate it effectively to learners.
• Examination Management: Set, moderate, invigilate, and mark examinations.
• Needs Assessment: Conduct needs assessments for curriculum to identify content gaps and produce competent graduates.

Requirements

• Hold a PhD or a Master's degree qualification in Educational Psychology (or a relevant field) from a recognized academic institution.
• Possess vast teaching or industry experience at undergraduate/postgraduate levels.
• Served as a Lecturer or equivalent industry experience in a university or institution recognized by the JOOUST Senate.
• Demonstrate potential for university teaching and/or research.
• At least two (2) years of teaching experience in a university.
• Master's degree holders registered for a PhD may be considered.
• Registered with the relevant professional body as required by the field of specialization.
