Role Overview\n\nThe University of Embu is seeking a qualified and dedicated academic to join as a Lecturer in Educational Administration, Planning, and Economics. The successful candidate will be responsible for lecturing, conducting scholarly research, and actively contributing to academic conferences, seminars, and workshops.\n\n### Key Duties and Responsibilities\n\n- Deliver high-quality lectures and instruction to students in the area of Educational Administration, Planning, and Economics.\n- Conduct impactful academic research and contribute to the field's body of knowledge.\n- Participate in and contribute to learned academic conferences, seminars, and workshops.\n- Mentor and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students.\n- Engage in departmental and university-wide activities and administrative duties.\n\n### Requirements and Qualifications\n\n- Must be a holder of an earned PhD degree from a recognized university in the relevant area of specialty.\n- Must hold a Master’s degree in addition to a first degree from a recognized university in the relevant field.\n- Show evidence of attendance and contribution at learned conferences, seminars, or workshops.\n- Show evidence of continued academic research.\n- Prior university teaching experience and publications in refereed journals will be considered an added advantage.
