Lecturer - Economic Geography

Duties and Responsibilities

• Teaching & Instruction: Deliver course content to undergraduate and/or postgraduate students through lectures, aligning with curriculum objectives.
• Learning Materials: Prepare high-quality learning and teaching materials to facilitate optimal delivery and student achievement.
• Evaluation & Assessment: Set, moderate, invigilate, and grade examinations. Assess delivery models and implement improvements for enhanced teaching and learning.
• Curriculum Design: Interpret curriculum to synthesize content effectively. Carry out needs assessments to identify content gaps and ensure graduates are industry-ready.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: A PhD or Master's degree in Economic Geography or a relevant field from a recognized academic institution.
• University Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of teaching experience in a university setting.
• Academic Ranking: Must have served as a Lecturer or possess equivalent industry experience in a university or institution recognized by the JOOUST Senate.
• Potential: Proven potential for outstanding university-level teaching and research.
• Ph.D. Registration: Master's degree holders who are currently registered for a Ph.D. program may be considered.
• Professional Registration: Registered with the relevant professional body as required by the field of specialization.
