Job Description
Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST) is seeking qualified candidates for Part-time Lecturer positions in Early Childhood Development and Education.
Preparing learning and teaching materials to enable better delivery of content and achievement of the objectives of the course.
Delivering the course content to students through lectures ensuring that they follow the curriculum objectives.
Evaluating the delivery models and making appropriate improvements to ensure quality teaching and learning.
Interpreting the curriculum in a bid to synthesize the content and disseminate the same to the learners. Setting, moderating, invigilating, and marking examinations.
Carrying out a needs assessment for the curriculum; identifying the content gaps in order to produce competent graduates.
Requirements
Applicants should hold a PhD or a Master's degree qualification in a relevant field from a recognized academic institution.
Possess vast teaching or industry experience at undergraduate/postgraduate levels.
Must have served as a Lecturer or equivalent industry experience in a university or institution recognized by the Senate of JOOUST.
Demonstrate potential for university teaching and/or research.
At least two (2) years of teaching experience in a university.
Master's holders registered for PhD may be considered.
Registered with the relevant professional body as required by the field of specialization.
