Role Overview The purpose of this position is to carry out teaching roles, student mentoring, research, and other academic duties in alignment with Zetech University's overall goal of producing technology, science, and business-oriented global leaders. ### Key Responsibilities - To teach in areas allocated by the Head of Department. - Designing, developing, planning, and delivering a range of programmes of study, including new courses at various levels. - Delivering high-quality lectures and practical sessions. - Reviewing course content and materials regularly and updating them as required. - Collaborating with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes, and research activities. - Carrying out research and writing research grant proposals. - Seeking and participating in consultancies. - Presenting research papers at national or international conferences. - Disseminating research outputs through appropriate channels. - Providing mentorship and career guidance to students and staff. - Performing any other duties as assigned by supervisors or outlined in the detailed job description. ### Qualifications and Experience - A Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD degree in Media Studies, Journalism, Communication, Mass Communication, or a related field from a recognised/accredited University. - At least three years of teaching or research experience at the University level as a Lecturer or Research Fellow. - A minimum of twenty-four (24) equivalent publication points as a Lecturer/Senior Research Fellow, with at least sixteen (16) points from refereed journal articles. - Evidence of active contribution at academic conferences, seminars, and workshops. - Professional membership in a relevant body is required. ### How to Apply Interested and qualified candidates should apply online through the Zetech University careers portal at https://careers.zetech.ac.ke.
